The labour market in Sorsele Municipality encompasses many different types of work, spanning everything from music and tourism to wood production and retail.

Creating your own opportunities

The residents of Sorsele are very involved in the community, and many of them have chosen to start their own businesses and create their own job opportunities, which they do exceptionally well. We have many small companies offering excellent customer service with a good sense of community wherein everyone helps each other out – together we create a viable municipality!

The private sector is home to several employers, both large and small, also in need of skills and labour.

We’re constantly striving to develop Sorsele as an attractive place for companies and new establishments. Many of us within the municipality work with trade and industry in various ways, ranging from advice through training to land issues.

We have good communications with broadband connections, an hour to the airport in Arvidsjaur, and European route E45 and the Inland Line railway line running right through our municipality. A small municipality offers big advantages, ranging from quick decisions to a highly interactive business community.

A favourable business climate combined with driven and talented business owners mean good opportunities for anyone wanting to establish a business in Sorsele Municipality to achieve their goals. Please feel free to contact us here at the enterprise office to see how we can help you!

Qualification recognition

If you’d like to continue studying in Sweden or need to prove your qualifications when looking for work, you may need to have your qualifications recognised.

Depending on what type of qualifications need to be recognised, or which country you’re from, the process varies and is conducted by different authorities or bodies. The staff at Lärcentrum, that supports adult students, can offer help and guidance on getting your qualifications recognised.
